OK, I realize this really isn’t that good of a haiku,
but this picture certainly is worth a thousand words,
or in my case, laughs. Every time I see it, I laugh,
and hopefully you will too.

The challenge word this week at Photo Friday is emotions.
I took this picture of my sister in 1980, shortly after our
mother died. Even after all these years, this picture still
breaks my heart every time I see it.

I’ll never forget the day I discovered this little beauty on the side
of the road in a bog. My sister-in-law and I were in search of
Lady Slippers, which are rare in our area. These Moccasin flowers
are even more rare. We had already found the Lady Slippers and
were driving along slowly when I spotted this flower. I was so
excited because I’ve never seen one before, except in pictures,
that I jumped out of the truck and into the bog to get pictures
of it. I soaked my shoes, but it was worth it.
I also found a Nodding Trillium that day too. Those aren’t very
common either.

For this weeks prompt, “Toys”, I used large plastic jacks on a
mirror in front of a window.
