Lens Day: Leaves
Autumn Frost
What a wonderful way to start the day. This is the beautiful, peaceful scene I enjoyed before sunrise yesterday morning. So beautiful, in fact, that I drank my coffee out on the front step, just to take it all in. I knew in my heart that if I didn’t, I would regret it the rest of the day. It was so wonderfully calm and still that I could hear the leaves falling down through the branches and hitting the ground. I could also hear crows in the distance and other little songbirds awakening and greeting the new day. The only thing missing was the chickadees. I love hearing their song more than any other, but apparently they are not early risers. I’m so glad I took the time to step outside to appreciate the quiet, simple, yet amazing beauty of this frosty autumn morning.
Autumn’s Beauty
Armstrong Creek Bison Company
I took a ride to the store in Armstrong Creek a few days ago and on my way home I decided to take a different side road just to see if I could find anything interesting to take pictures of, and what I found was this bison skull at the Armstrong Creek Bison Company. I thought the skull looked pretty cool on the stump with the fall colors in the background.

Piers Gorge
I haven’t had much opportunity to get out and take pictures this fall, also we’ve had quite a few gray, dreary days lately, so I really have no current pictures to share, even though the colors are peaked here right now. What I have decided to do is share pics that I had taken the last two years instead. The first pics I’d like to post were all taken at Piers Gorge in Norway, MI.
4 Seasons, Shorty Shack
This is a little shack that sits just at the edge of the woods south of Armstrong Creek, WI. I don’t know the history of it other than a man nicknamed “Shorty” lived there many years ago. This shack is very small, about 12 feet wide and only about 8 feet deep, yet it’s charm is endless. If I ever manage to get any history on this little piece of the past, I’ll be sure to post it.
