We got 6 more inches of snow last night and a high of 11 today. It’s supposed to get down to -15 tonight. Now, on a brighter note, here’s a few collages from warmer days.

Here’s a couple more collages that I made with Picasa 3. We’re in the middle of a snowstorm right now with an expected accumulation of 5-9 inches by tomorrow morning. Sigh….

It’s the end of February and we’re expecting a snowstorm tomorrow and below average temps for over the weekend, and it’s sad cuz this winter has dragged on long enough. I shouldn’t complain though, cuz after all, this is Wisconsin and we’re getting normal Wisconsin weather, but I can’t help it. I’m ready for spring, and since spring is a long way off, I decided to post some warm weather pictures. Well, actually collages. I’ve been having a blast making collages with Picasa 3. Here’s the flower collages that I made today.

I’m not just talking about the beautiful blue sky or the lovely blue shadows on the snow, although they did cheeer me up a little this morning. It’s been a long cold winter and I’m more than ready for spring. So is everyone else I talk to. I’m tired of snow and I’m tired of being cold all the time, and sadly, we’ve probably got at least another month of winter left, not counting, of course, the snow storms that we will most likely still get in April and maybe even May. I just can’t wait to walk through the woods and see the first tender green shoots struggling up through the dead leaves. Unfortunately, that much anticipated event is still at least a month and a half away, so I guess I’ll just keep snowshoeing and making the best of things till it warms up.

This is on the front of the old cream separator, which sits next to the old tractor behind our house. It kinda sums up how I feel.

A collage of the pics I took on my walk this morning.
There was just the slightest blush of color in the sky this morning at sunrise.

When I got out of work this morning there was just a slight blush of color on the clouds. It stayed gray and gloomy all day and now, this evening we have 31 degrees and freezing rain. My Jeep is covered in a layer of ice, the driveway is a skating rink and the road isn’t any better. It’s supposed to be in the upper 40’s and partly sunny tomorrow. So much for my snowshoeing. Oh well, we live in Wisconsin and winter is far from over. I’m sure that there is plenty more snow in our future.

I was looking through my archives yesterday and I came across these pics and decided they are too cute not to share. We have two cats, a boy named Jack and a girl named Earl. These pics are from 3 years ago when they were only about 3 months old. Earl used to love to crawl inside my Mukluks and hide in there and peek out at me. I caught her on camera a couple times and I’d like to share them here. I smile every time I see them and I hope you do too.
