Rustic Charm
I went to town for a few things this morning and on my way back, the yellow tamarack in this scene caught my eye. Thankfully I had my Rebel with me, so I got a few shots of it right out the window of the Jeep. I also took some hand-held HDR shots, but when I processed them, I found I liked the originals better. I did tweak the colors a bit, though.

October Barn
I went out last Sunday after church and took some HDR shots of one of my favorite barns. The barn belongs to the Tomasczewski family and I go out there every now and then to photograph it. I’ve taken fall shots of it before, but never in HDR, so that’s what I did on Sunday.

This is the “tunneled” road on the way to the barn.
HDR Saturday
Last Saturday I went to a few spots and took some HDR shots. I really like the way they turned out, and I decided to post the originals along with the HDR’s for comparison.

Yesterday we had gray, moody skies all day but no rain. Here are some shots from my ride to work.

September 25, 2009
I left for work early yesterday so I would have time to stop and take pics instead of shooting while driving. This what I came up with.

I shot these while driving to work yesterday.

Thursday’s Sky
For some reason, I was not able to upload any pics to either of my blogs yesterday, so I will put them on today, two days late. These pics were taken throughout the day on Thursday, starting at about 1:00 pm. and ending during my lunch break at work at 8:00.

4 Seasons Barn
This barn belongs to a friend of mine who lives just a few miles away. This is another of the old builidings in the area that fascinate me and I thought it would be an excellent subject to photograph in all 4 seasons.

Winter
What????
I shouldn’t be surprised, cuz this is normal for our area. It’s very common to get an April, or sometimes May snowstorm. I feel sorry for all the pretty little wildflowers that had recently popped up in the woods. I took a walk this morning and couldn’t find a single one. They’re all buried under several inches of snow. It started snowing early this morning and it’s still snowing now. I checked our weather at www.wunderground.com (excellent site with a lot of excellent photography), and they’re predicting 3-6 inches total for us. Of course, they’re also predicting temps in the 50’s on Wed. and 60’s on Thurs. and Friday, so this snow won’t be here for long.
