Camera Critters Sunday #7

A mama robin built a nest in a window on our garage.

You can see her sitting on her eggs in this first picture,

looking very unhappy with me for getting so close.

I just got close enough to get a good shot with my

zoom lens and then left her alone

I took this next picture earlier this week.   You can see one egg

never hatched, but the other 2 babies look just fine.

I took this last picture this afternoon.  The babies look like they may be

ready to fly any day now.  I also noticed that the unhatched egg is

no longer in the nest.  Mama must have cleaned house.

What a sweet and precious post! I love the photos showing the progression of the ‘family formation’! I was chasing an ‘adolescent’ Robin around the other day – it still had it’s spots on its belly. This is a GREAT post for Camera-Critters!

I love this series! She really doesn’t look too happy with you. I can usually keep track of a cardinal pair that nests in the azalias out front, but this year I haven’t had any luck.

Ah … so sweet! Fun to observe the process isn’t it? The egg is so BLUE and the baby birds seem to be developing well. Thanks for sharing this wondrous series.

Today I could use some ‘gopher’ advice if you (or others) have any … but the main event in my Camera Critters this week (at Small Reflections) is Molly meeting a ‘look-alike’ last weekend … named Molly!
    Hugs and blessings,

Very cool pictures! My Camera Critters post today is similar (babies in a nest). I love the amount of time you’ve covered though. The bright blue eggs are beautiful, and I love seeing the babies more grown up. Great photos!
