Fall Colors

Wow!  guess I needed a little break.  I haven’t blogged in a few weeks and I haven’t really taken many pics lately either, which is quite odd for me.  Usually I take pics every day of something or other, even if it’s only of a cloudy sky.  I have taken a few in the last couple days, and I’ll put those up now.  I wanted to get a few on my way home from work this morning, but it was raining.  I’m hoping to get out and get some pics this Friday after work and also this weekend, now that the fall colors are just about peaked in my area.

I shot this on my way to town on Sunday

The road past my house, facing north.

At least I got to see the colours through your eyes and lens.

I’ve been thinking of these colors and the change for a while now. Even though I’ve been physically gone for nearly 5 yrs I’m still energetically connected to my homeland and I still feel the seasonal changes strongly. We are just now starting to see some foliage color here. Thanks for the visuals and reminders of the natural world that we need to protect.

I love the one facing north. Not only the color of the trees, but also the color in the sky too. great shots.

I like your pictures. What sort of camera do you use?

Hi Pierre, Thank you for commenting. I have two cameras that I use. For these frost pictures I used my canon rebel XT with an Opteka HD 10X Macro lens that screws onto the stock lens that came with the camera. I also have a small Canon Powershot that I carry in my purse at all times for taking shots on my way to work or when I don’t feel like carrying the big Rebel or when I’m out snowshoeing and it is actively snowing. Take care and have a wonderful Christmas, Nancy
