    Nancy,

Congradulations on your accomplishment! Our paths crossed last summer while on an late afternoon walk on CTH “H”. We loved talking to you and seeing the excitement in your eyes when you talked about your love for photography and the upcoming website. Kathy remembered the name you had chosen and has been watching for it. It is truly a work of art.

    Hi Nancy,
You have some beautiful pictures. I really miss the fall colors and smells. For winter I miss the look of fresh snow on the tress. The cold I don’t miss. I have been living in Hawaii for three years now and every day is like a perfect summer day. If you would like some photos from here that I have taken I can send them. I do a lot of photography too. I just haven’t posted any.
The Schnell’s sent me a link to your site.

    Hi Nancy,
Thank you for sharing your many talents on this beautiful website. I just found the link thru weatherunderground. When you describe so beautifully your walks in the snowcovered woods, it reminds me of the peacefullness I found there myself as a child here in NC (especially in the snow). I need to make time to get back out into the woods, it’s so very good for my soul. Thanks for reminding me of that.
    Blessings to you.

Hi! My name is Bunny and I live in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. Love what I find on WunderPhotos, except the dropdowns – I may never buy from Circuit City again!

You have a beautiful website, and I plan to spend some more time there. My niece has a blog, and I have some idea how much work it is, so I want to say Thank you! Enjoyed the photos and the poetry, plus the fine design.

You remind me of a friend down the valley, especially because of the picture of you with your dog and snowshoes. She is about to realize a long time dream by going to the ’08 Iditarod, meeting some other Iditarod-fan women in Alaska. She does cross-county skiing, and hopes to have a Husky or similar dog before too long. Right now she lives with an American Eskimo Dog, as do I, except I have two. I was thinking one of the women was from WI, and thought it could be you, but I just checked and she was from MN. They have never met, except on the Internet – just happened to share an interest. It is pretty wonderful!

Anyway, kudos for you photography, poetry and website!

Wadv! Thank you so much for the beautiful & peaceful website here.

You seem to be blessed with the most wondrous sunrises/sunsets!
We seldom get that in the mountains here in N.C. But our rivers are similar.

    Hoping Spring finds you soon!

Greetings, fellow Black Letterhead-er. Delighted to find your blog. I just got back from a failed attempt at thru-hiking Japan, during which I wrote (attempts at) haiku every day while walking down the backroads of Shikoku. I also once wrecked a car in Wisconsin, abruptly concluding a fantastic road trip through America. I’ll keep tuning in!

I like to know if you would give me permission to get inspiration and ideas for my paintings from some of your pictures, please just let me know. Lovely blog, pictures, poems etc. You have a great talent Nancy! May God keep on blessing you and give you the desires of your heart.

I am so glad I met you at Fumee, and remembered your web address. Your pictures are fantastic and I love your attitude and philosophy. You inspire me to get a better camera and learn how to use it. I too love photography, flowers, skies, animals, bugs, and all of nature. In the meantime, I will just enjoy yours.

    Hello Nancy;

What a blessing to find your beautiful and inspiring
website. I was searching for the Riversongs e-cards website but found you first. I admire your god-gifted talents. I only briefly read through the blogs; but did notice tht you were writing a book. Have you accompolished that yet? I am writing my life story and hope to have it published in another year or so. It’s been a very long and lonely journey; as I lost a twin sister at birth.

There is so much beauty in nature—-but the greatest beauty is seeing God’s presence in all of nature; throughout all seasons; we are so abundantly blessed with the beholding beauty of all of God’s creations. Shame on us for a complaining attitude.

I truly thank you for sharing your gifts and talents of capturing through photography so much beauty of nature and of yourself. May God continue to use you to reach many others as a witness of His Handiworks.

You are truly gifted, Nancy. And what a blessing your gift is! Don’t stop using your God-given gifts! It’s too refreshing in this world of trouble, and we all need to stop for a while and soak up the beauty of God. Keep clicking!

We have a cottage on the lake and it is great to keep in touch with the weather up there by visiting your site when we are at home.. The pictures you take are fantastic, to say the least.

We knew your parents when they ran Ron’s Food Lane in Armstrong Creek and enjoyed your guitar and singing at St. Stanislaus Kostka.

    Keep up the good work.

What a day to find your blog! I grew up in Fence, in fact most of my family lives there still. Being a military wife has taken me far from my hometown, and today I have been feeling especially homesick. In fact, I was going to blog tonight about said homesickness. I love your pictures, and I have been to many of those places, driven (or rode the horses in the ditch) those roads, fished those creeks….oh the memories…thank you!

    Hi Nancy,

Thanks again for your postings of your beautiful pictures. I come to your blog almost daily to be in the north woods. I find so much peace & happiness. Good to see you love the woods like I do.I would like to print a couple pictures of the woods or river, so I can put in my bedroom or bathroom to see the beauty & peacefulness of the woods everyday.God has really blessed you with that camera. Your pictures just makes me happy .

I am driving up today ,to the cabin, to enjoy the woods with you. Can not wait to hear the birds & smell the smells. My dog is not well so no walks in the woods, but just sitting by the lake will be nice.I will think of you when I am up & how you would get a great picture…. & share it will others.

    God Bless,

    Lori Hintz

    Hi Nancy –
I stumbled onto your blog today and thought it was so beautiful! The photos are truly gorgeous and I enjoyed looking at them. I just lost my 15-year-old dog this week and am feeling sad missing her, and the photo of you dog DID make me smile – I loved seeing it – really did my heart good. What a great dog! Please give him an extra pat for me.

    Thanks!

What sort of camera do you have, and what are the technical details of your great closeups of flowers and insects?

    Thanks.

    Hi Nancy,
We met at the Swanson Baby Shower. It was a joy to talk with you and learn of your love of photography and nature’s beauty. What special moments you have shared with us on this blog. I am constantly looking for special moments in life… the truly important times shared with people and things you love. Good for you!

I found the post with the barbed wire we talked about. I will be watching for this picture to show up in your blog. It should be great! With all the rain coming our way, you may find the overcast day you are looking for soon. The barn that I talked about is actually very very close to the C&R Ranch. Just as you are coming off the curve and approaching the ranch look to your left. I believe it’s a Johnson Farm. You cannot see the site from their drive, only from the curve in the road going westward. Good luck!
