monday night sunset

I took a walk out at Fumee tonight and then stopped at the Lake Antoine boat landing for pics of the sunset.  The first pic is from Fumee on my walk Saturday morning.  The next one is from my walk tonight.  The rest are from the boat landing.

These pics are from Dec. 22.  We went out snowshoeing on the south side of Big Fumee.  I got some nice pics of a pretty little creek that runs along the trail for a ways.  I decided they looked best in black and white so I converted them all for this post.

This was the sunset tonight.  I wish I had the chance to take pics from the top of Millie Hill.  It would have been a much better view.

algoma, wi.

This past summer we took a drive to my hometown of Algoma, WI.  It is a beautiful, quaint little town on the shores of Lake Michigan.  I lived there until I was 6 years old and I like to go back now and then even though I no longer have any relatives there.  It is just a really nice place to visit.  One thing new in town that I noticed was that there were murals painted on the sides of some of the buildings.

big fumee lake….again

We had a wonderful walk around big Fumee this afternoon.  43 degrees and sunny with only a slight breeze.  It’s 4.5 miles around and at the end of the trail is this fountain which flows year round with fresh spring water.  As you can see from the ice build-up, it’s been a little chilly here lately.   It was great to get out and enjoy the sun after nearly a week of rain and dreary weather.
